N.O.WA.S.T.E. course presentation in Melilli

On Thursday, January 24, 2013, at 16:30, in the council of the Municipality of Melilli was presented the first course N.O.WA.S.T.E. "Environmental issues and sustainable waste management" as foreseen in Action 6.6 'Training and learning program for young people'.

The event was attended by the Mayor Giuseppe Cannata, Salvatore Sbona Youth Politics Assessor, the Mirko Caruso Assessor to Environmental Hygiene, Giuseppe Lo Bianco President of Irssat, Manuela Cannistraci Project Manager Nowaste, Giovanna Roccuzzo Training coordinator and Manager of Educational Center, Natalina Castro Administrative referent and Sebastiano Scatà Technical referent.

The presentation was an opportunity to explain the N.O.WA.S.T.E. project and the articulation of lessons to the nearly 80 registered participants.

The course, whose participation is free, will run for 60 hours and will address the following topics:

European and national regulatory framework for environmental development, environmental policies
Regional normative framework for waste management, waste analysis plan and regional program for the prevention of waste production
Techniques and tools of investigation and environmental regulatory and technical restrictions.
Analysis of the territory and sustainable exploitation of local resources
Proposals development
Final Report
