The project aims at promote the development of a waste sustainable policy for Local administrators, through the implementation of a system/method which allows the treatment and composting of organic fraction directly to homes, without the need to take it to landfill.
The system, with new methods to promote recycling, will enable the government to reduce the costs of MSW management, which could become a voice input for municipal budgets.

- Reduction of the RSU taxes to citizens;
- Reducing the 35% of the organic fraction volume;
- Environmental saves, about 20% of the pollution reduction due to waste;
- Environmental save, only referred to the organic fraction, of about 40%;
- Economical saves, in terms of waste and landfills management of about 30%;
- Economical saves per households (tax reduction) of about 25% mainly due to the reduction of the service costs of about 20%;
- Reduction of the means of transport (at least 40%) used as waste transportation and garbage bin emptying;
- Reduction of the insertions in landfills of the organic fraction (50%);
- Reduction of the plastic bags used for the organic waste collection (60%);
- Elimination of the organic garbage bins in the streets (70%);
- Reduction of the formation of odours and insects with notable improvements for the domestic hygiene (20%);
- Acceptability of the proposed system: at least 60% of the prototype tester intends to continue and sustain the system after the end of the project;
- Involvement and interest of about the 30% of other people reached beside the project (wide specimen);
- Partner Authorities involvement: 70% of the partner Municipalities and Local Authorities involved in the project intend to sustain and promote the adoption of the N.O.WA.S.T.E. technology system;
- Increasing other Sicilian Local administrators (municipalities in the territory) interest of about 50%.
